The Songs Of Stuart Adamson

Former BIG COUNTRY members unite to perform The Songs of Stuart Adamson.

Performed by an All Star Band including Members and Ex members of Big Country and Icicle Works - Mark Brzezicki (Big Country), Simon Hough (Ex Big Country), Chris Layhe (Icicle Works) and Ken Nicol (Steeleye Span).

Due to amazing demand the band are back.

This is not a tribute. Its the real deal.

When Stuart Adamson tragically passed away on 16th December 2001 Big Country lost the Singer, Songwriter and driving force. Big Country ceased to exist until the band reinvented themselves in 2007, with the three surviving members.

Tony Butler became the lead vocalist with Bruce Watson on guitar and Mark Brzezicki on drums. Tony stayed with the band until 2012 then left due to internal differences.

Mike Peters Joined the band in 2011 but left the band in 2013, Simon Hough replaced Mike Peters in 2013 but left the band in 2024. Mark Brzezicki also left the band in 2024, Gil Allan the bass player also left the band in 2024.

The Music of Big Country and The Songs of Stuart Adamson will always survive.

Mark and Simon have reformed with two other amazing performers. A very special union has been forged with 4 of the finest musicians performing the ultimate acoustic homage to the Late Great Stuart Adamson and Big Country.

You can expect songs that has never been played live before along with the classic Big Country hits we all know and love.

Mark Brzezicki is regarded by many as one of the top drummers on the planet and is also responsible for all the great drumming and percussion on all the Big Country songs. Mark has been, and still is the foundation block behind the sound of Big Country. His CV is a who's who of Rock Royalty.

Chris Layhe is one of the founding members of 80's Icon Band The Icicle Works and is regarded as an amazing bass player. Chris still tours alongside Ian McNabb as The Icicle Works.

This union of Mark and Chris has created a foundation to build a skyscraper of a set highlighting the amazing songs of the late great Stuart Adamson.

The third member to join this amazing band is Guitar Genus Ken Nicol. Kens background is to say the least very varied from the realms of Steeleye Span and Magna Carta to Al Stewart. Ken is regarded as one of the finest acoustic players around.

Last but by no means least is Simon Hough the former lead vocalist of Big Country of over a decade.

Simon took over the Big Country vocal duties after Mike Peters left the band.

TSOSA perform Big country acoustic versions of Stuart Adamson Songs with amazing vocal harmony and precise musical awareness.

Big Country no longer exist with Mark and Bruce, but this is something a little special for all the fans to enjoy.

Over the coming months the band will be in the studio recording a new album to co inside with their 2025 British and European tour.

There will be some very special guests appearing along the way.

In 2025 there is a lot of activity surrounding Stuart’s legacy. Its gonna be a great year.

In a big country dreams stay with you, like a lover's voice fires the mountainside. Stay alive, here we go....
