The rock ‘n’ roll promoters and live session specialists Sound Factory are proud to present the largest indoor Indie Rock Festival Plymouth has seen. Sound Factory Festival will bring a high-octane array of leading guitar bands and next wave talents to The Depo on March 8th 2025, led by headliners The K’s and Bez of the infamous Happy Mondays.

Saturday night headliners The K’s are the perfect band alongside Bez to close the show. This anthemic four piece has toured the UK, including performances on some of the biggest stages the country has seen. Having recently headlined This Feeling By The Sea festival, playing Glastonbury and taking to the main stages at Reading and Leeds festivals, The K’s know how to put on a show. The “Breakthrough of the year” award winners also released their debut album “I Wonder If The World Knows” which reached number 3 in the UK Album Chart in April 2024. The K’s are not to be missed!

The immutable Bez of the hedonistic Happy Mondays needs no real introduction. The band were at theforefront of the Madchester scene, combining the blissful energy of the emerging dance music and acid house scene with an indie ethos. Signed to Factory Records, Happy Mondays encapsulated everythinggreat about Madchester from the jangly pop of The Smiths to the pioneering electronic vibes of New Order. And with ring-leader Shaun Ryder creating a low-slung sleazy dancefloor sound and Bez leading the party from the front, all rubber-limbed moves and boggle-eyed stares, their attitude and everyman-approach won them fans around the world.

Associate Director of Sound Factory and legendary Music Producer (on iconic albums with the likes of Oasis, Stone Roses, The Verve, Supergrass, Robert Plant, Muse and many more) John Cornfield commented, “It’s great to see so many established and up and coming bands from across the country come to Plymouth for Sound Factory Festival. It’s shining a light on talent we have down here too which is sometimes overlooked”.

Venue owner, Ryan Platts has commented, “I’m very happy that The Depo is hosting a day like this, giving a broader reach to what we already do for the culture in Plymouth. Hosting live music and bands such as these really progresses the music scene in our city. With such a legend of a DJ and a line up like this, it looks to be really really exciting. Everyone at the club is very much looking forward to the first Sound Factory Festival.”

The Saturday will also see the likes of South West based, The Velvet Hands who recently sold out London Omeara venue; The Lilacs who are packing out festival tents across the country, Rolla who have previously supported Kasabian, The Entitled Sons, Lissy Taylor, Hunny Buzz, The Rhodes, Haytor, COSM, and Fletcher Clift. For any Indie Rock fans, this is a day not to be missed!
