Bad Luck Live presents.. Rachel Stamp Acoustic live in Brighton for the first time since.. ever? David Ryder Prangley first met Will Crewdson in 1994 after moving from Dinas Powys in South Wales to London in search of musicians to bring to life an imaginary band called RACHEL STAMP. Instantly hitting it off over a shared love of artists such as Redd Kross, The Nymphs, Prince and Warren Zevon and filmmakers such as Lindsay Anderson, Russ Mayer and Kathryn Bigelow, the duo quickly hit the UK music scene (joined by synth player Shaheena Dax and drummer Robin Guy) with their unique and colourful brand of androgynous Glam Punk, releasing the albums HYMNS FOR STRANGE CHILDREN, STAMPAX and OCEANS OF VENUS and securing a following that would see them become the first unsigned band to sell out London’s legendary Astoria Theatre. In 2024 Will and David decided to take things back to their roots and started performing stripped down versions of RACHEL STAMP’s varied catalogue as a duo with David on vocals and acoustic guitar and Will on electric guitar and backing vocals. Their first show quickly sold out leading to more UK dates are being added. The gigs are all unique, with set lists evolving and stories behind the songs being shared. Be prepared for an intimate evening with one of the UK’s most individual and cherished bands. Live at Daltons, a fresh new venue on the sea front with step-free accessibility. This is a standing show. If you have access requirements, please make sure to purchase an ambulant or wheelchair ticket.
